Founded in 2009, Mountain Architecture has grown from a small design practice into a trusted name in architecture, known for creativity, collaboration, and craftsmanship. Since our beginning, our mission has been simple: to design spaces that inspire and delight while ensuring a seamless experience from concept to completion.

At the heart of our company is Ryan McKibben, an intuitive architect who believes that great architecture begins with listening. By understanding the client’s vision, needs, lifestyle and/or mission, he creates designs that not only meet functional demands but also bring joy and character to every space. His thoughtful approach fosters a warm and collaborative environment—one where clients feel heard, understood, and excited about the process.

We work closely with contractors, builders, and consultants, ensuring that design intent and craftsmanship come together beautifully on site. Ryan McKibben founded Mountain Architecture in 2009 and is licensed in NC, SC, GA, FL and his birthplace, Illinois. When not drawing, his passions revolve around family and friends, and because he refuses to act his age, anything that involves a wheel or ball.
