This Mountain Rustic home with expansive golf-course views functions as a prototype for customization onto other similar sloping lots. Options for amount of stone, extra master suite on main, conversion of garage to carport, screened porch, and other options, make this design a great starting point.
Here we present passersby on Hwy 107 in Cashiers with a modern mountain ranch that fits in with the vernacular. To shelter the main living spaces from traffic, we situated the mudroom and large pantry to block views of the main living spaces oriented away from the busy road. To maximize privacy, the screened living area is nestled into the mountain on the far end.

An ambitious project that uses modern shards of glass and steel to interrupt the traditional forms of an English Country design. The client wanted a contemporary interior as shown.
The first image shows what we affectionately call “Waterfall Terrace” as it opens up to the sights and sounds of a natural waterfall further up the mountain. The contemporary form of the house melds into the mountain’s contours.
Similar to beach house design, this home on Lake Hartwell places the main living spaces on the top floor, where views are most impressive.
City officials in Seneca, SC decided to demolish a crumbling vacant building and in its place install a public gathering space in the heart of their downtown’s revitalization effort. A renovated office building and open stage will be framed in by elevated walkways with shipping container restaurants, pubs and covered seating.

With retail and conditioned parking at the lower level, office space and apartments on level 2, and a private residence on the top floor, this mixed use proposal to downtown Anderson has layered terraces overlooking Wren Park.
Modern forms reach out towards expansive views and combine to carve an elevated courtyard framed in by rhododendron marching down the steep bank, and opening towards sounds of a nearby waterfall.
At our client’s request, these cabins were influenced by Swiss ski lodge design.
